Nintendo Introduces Wii Fit U Meter

Nintendo has released a video introducing the Wii Fit U Meter. The Fit Meter can count the user's steps and detect exercise intensity level and altitude changes using an acceleration sensor and an atmospheric pressure sensor. As a result, the device is able to accurately calculate calories burned based on the user's activity.

The Fit Meter can be synced to the user's Wii Fit U profile for a detailed overview of all the user's activities and calorie expenditure. The device can also exchange information with other Fit Meters, allowing users to compare their activity levels with a press of a button.
