Activetainment Brings ebove B/01 Multiplayer Bike to FIBO

Activetainment will showcase its ebove B/01 multiplayer bike at the upcoming FIBO International Trade Show in April.

Norwegian creative technology company Activetainment will present the ebove B/01 bike, a real motion indoor bike that lets cyclists socialize and compete against each other in immersive virtual environments, at the upcoming FIBO International Trade Show, held in Cologne, Germany from April 7 to 10, 2016.

The ebove B/01 is a bike simulator with a unique training concept that uses immersive visuals and simulation technology to enable cyclists to experience every move as if they were riding outside. At the same time, the bike offers multiplayer racing and social features that make exercise more engaging and dynamic. Users can go on virtual group rides via the internet or compete against each other at the gym or at home.

First unveiled at the 2015 CES, the ebove B/01 bike has automatic incline and decline, a touch screen and movable handlebars. The interactive trainer commmunicates with the screen via Bluetooth and comes with several trails preloaded and built-in Wi-Fi.

In addition to the virtual trails, the screen displays real time stats including speed, calories burned, distance travelled and heart rate. The trainer simulates ascents and descents by leaning forward or tipping back and increasing or decreasing pedalling resistance. Cyclists can shift gears or use two brake levers on descents, while a flywheel on the front of the bike gives them more stability at higher speeds.

The ebove B/01 interactive bike is the first of several training solutions developed by Activetainment that eradicate traditional concepts of exercise. The ebove B/01 bike is currently available for pre-ordering in the Nordic countries and the first units are expected to start shipping out in Q3 of 2016.
